The PedalFarm F-2 is based on a the classic MKII Tonebender fuzz circuit, re-imagined with silicon transistors. The addition of a precision Bias control provides a wide range of textures to the fuzz, freeing up new possibilities previously unattainable, all without losing the essence of the original classic. The interaction between the BIAS and Attack controls allow for a multitude of great sounds. The F-2 is very reactive to your guitars volume control, cleaning up nicely with small changes of the knob. The F-2 also sounds great with a bass!
The F-2 has an extended LEVEL control that ensures full volume capability at lower bias settings where the signal is weaker. This also allows you to boost your amp, giving more dirt behind the fuzz with a lower headroom amp, or extended volume with a high headroom amp. Dialing the level back can help tame a dirty amp that sounds good on its own, but more drive than you want when the fuzz is engaged, without losing volume.
The ATTACK control has been modified to provide a better balance to the fuzz range and improved frequency content across the sweep of the knob. This allows for very usable sounds in every position of the knob.
The BIAS control provides a variety of textures, from thick overdrive to ripsaw, and beyond. Each device is individually tuned to make it easy to consistently access specific bias points.
Other features include top mounted jacks, battery or DC adapter operation, and true bypass switching.
